What We Do Best

Full roof replacements and repairs — plus inspections, restoration, and gutters — built with the best roofing materials and quality workmanship.

Roof Replacement & Installation

What Makes a Roof Replacement Last?

A roof lasts when every layer is installed correctly: underlayment protects the roof deck, starter strips anchor the first shingle course, flashing seals every joint and penetration, and ridge caps seal the peak. Proper installation extends roof lifespan — and poor installation shortens it, no matter how good the shingles are.

With MCI Roofing, your roof is built with a combination of the best roofing materials and quality workmanship, to ensure safety and comfort for you & your loved ones. As a Shingle Master Certified Roofer, our installations qualify for the enhanced SureStart Plus warranty.

  • Full tear-off and roof deck inspection before installation
  • New underlayment, drip edge, flashing, and ridge ventilation
  • Architectural shingles from trusted manufacturers (CertainTeed, IKO)
  • Detailed cleanup and final quality walk-through

Roof Repair, Inspection & Evaluation

What Causes a Roof Leak — and Can It Be Repaired?

Most roof leaks are caused by damaged flashing, failed pipe boots, or missing shingles — and most of them can be repaired without replacing the roof. Damaged flashing allows water intrusion, and water intrusion causes mold, rot, and eventually structural damage, so the earlier a leak is found, the cheaper it is to fix.

Whether your roof's been damaged in a storm or you need a preventive roof evaluation, we provide a cost-effective way of ensuring both your home & family are protected. Our inspections identify damaged shingles, granule loss, wind and hail damage, and ventilation problems — and document the evidence you need for an insurance claim.

  • Free roof evaluations with on-the-spot results
  • Leak detection and flashing, pipe boot, and shingle repair
  • Storm, wind, and hail damage assessment for insurance claims
  • Honest repair-vs-replace guidance — we won't sell you what you don't need

Roof Restoration

What Is Roof Restoration?

Roof restoration is the process of restoring your current roof by adding to what is already in place to create a beautiful, structurally sound roof that will last. Restoration reinforces the existing roofing system instead of replacing it, which makes it a cost-effective option when the roof deck and structure are still sound.

During your free evaluation we'll tell you honestly whether restoration, repair, or full replacement is the right investment for your roof's age and condition.

Roofing Materials

Which Roofing Material Is Right for Your Home?

The right material depends on your roof's slope, your budget, and how long you plan to stay. Here's what we install and why homeowners choose each.

Asphalt Shingle Roofing

Asphalt shingles protect most residential roofs in the Carolinas. Architectural shingles outlast three-tab shingles and carry stronger warranties — we install CertainTeed Landmark and IKO Cambridge lines.

Metal Roofing

Metal roofing resists corrosion, sheds snow and rain quickly, and can last 40–70 years. Standing seam panels conceal fasteners for a clean, modern look.

Tile Roofing

Clay and concrete tile deliver decades of durability and a distinctive profile, ideal for homes built to carry the extra weight.

Rubber Roofing

Rubber membranes (EPDM) waterproof flat and low-slope roofs, making them the standard choice for commercial buildings and low-pitch additions.

Gutter Installation & Repair

Why Do Gutters Matter to Your Roof?

Gutters direct rainwater off the roof and away from the foundation. When gutters clog or fail, water backs up under the shingle edge, rots the fascia, and pools around the foundation. Drip edge directs water into gutters — so roof and gutters work as one drainage system.

  • New gutter installation, sized for your roof area
  • Gutter repair — sagging runs, leaking seams, failed hangers
  • Fascia and drip edge coordination with any roof work

Service FAQs

Common Questions About Our Roofing Services

How long does roof replacement take?

Most residential roof replacements finish in one to two days once materials arrive. Roof size, pitch, weather, and any needed roof deck repairs can extend the timeline — we confirm the schedule during your free evaluation.

Can a leaking roof be repaired without a full replacement?

Often, yes. Leaks usually trace to damaged flashing, a failed pipe boot, or a small patch of missing shingles — all repairable. If damage is widespread or the roof is at the end of its lifespan, replacement is usually more cost-effective than repeated repairs, and we'll tell you honestly which is which.

What roofing materials do you install?

Asphalt shingle roofing (including CertainTeed and IKO architectural shingles), metal roofing, tile roofing, and rubber roofing for flat and low-slope roofs. See examples on Our Work.

How often should a roof be inspected?

At least once a year, and after any major storm. Inspections identify damaged shingles, flashing failure, and granule loss before water intrusion causes mold, rot, or structural damage. Ours are free.

Do new gutters come with a roof replacement?

Gutters are quoted separately, but many homeowners combine gutter installation with a roof replacement so drip edge, fascia, and drainage all work together as one system.
